From the Pulpit

Every Sunday I sit in Sacrament Meeting and try...

to sit reverently, listen attentively, learn something new, and manage to keep my six month old occupied while making sure that the hem of my skirt is sitting appropriately.

Mostly I fail...

The worst part is that very often, the person giving the talk will say something that catches me completely off guard, and then I am distracted for the rest of the meeting...

Like that one time when she used the word "Skanky,"

Or last week when he quoted Captain Jack Sparrow of Pirates of the Caribbean...accent and all,

And today when, though in context, he said "That doesn't mean we need to be walking around naked or anything,"

Hmm. No wonder sometimes I am irreverent

  1. Those were great times! Bobby and I were laughing our heads off at those.

  2. HAHAHA! I missed the skanky one... but the Captian Jack quote pretty much made my day. Just sayin'. Thanks for letting me be irreverent. Who else is going to quote Veggie Tales with me?

  3. Oh my gosh! I was laughing the whole rest of the meeting! That killed me! Probably the best ward to say something like that in...
